Operation Silver Scythe

SITREP

During Operation Silver Scythe, our unit is tasked with a critical two-part mission:

  1. Conduct a rescue of Bandit 3, a friendly indigenous recon element captured near the Anti-Aircraft Ruins after their position was overrun.
  2. Assault and neutralize an enemy black site and its reinforcement logistics hub.

At 1834 hours, during ingress, our MH-6 Little Bird came under fire from an enemy SAM battery. A catastrophic failure in the onboard countermeasures prevented flare deployment. As a last resort, the team was forced to bail out over hostile terrain, equipped only with their parachute, kit, and sidearm.

We are now deep behind enemy lines, cut off from command and outnumbered. The mission has not changed: rescue friendly forces and destroy enemy assets. Failure to act will cost allied forces countless lives and further strengthen enemy positions along the contested FB/SC border region.

Mission Survival Rules

1. Starting Conditions

2. Enemy Weapon Use

3. Vehicles

Example Run

  1. Start at the bivouac with pistols only.
  2. Move to the South Island, ambush a two-man patrol, and recover two basic rifles (stripped bare). Take their boat and travel to the aa ruins.
  3. At the ruins, fight using only basic rifles and free the POWs. On the base you recover binoculars and a map. From this point, you may use the tac map and binoculars, but still no item-wheel gear due to the low-tech militia scenario.
  4. Example of a rifle with only iron sights, illustrating the rule to remove all attachments.

Operational Intent

Survive. Adapt. Complete the mission. Use stealth, precision, and violence of action when required. Improvise with whatever resources you can salvage. Every encounter is a chance to rebuild capability, use it.
